- In each space, disused materials found in patios and gardens that could become breeding sites for Dengue mosquitoes will be collected.
The Municipality of Córdoba continues in 2026 with preventive environmental planning operations in different neighborhoods of the city.
In each sector they will collect disused items found in patios and gardens, in order to reduce the spaces where the Dengue mosquito can proliferate, especially after days of rain and extreme humidity.
To this end, it is requested that on the day established for the tour of each neighborhood, residents place on their sidewalk and before 10:00 a.m., all those elements such as tires, pots, cans, lids, buckets and/or disused basins, as well as all those large elements such as broken appliances or disused furniture that the collector does not usually remove, without hindering the passage.
Wet remains, weeds or weeds that are properly bagged will also be collected.
For this week, the route schedule for this week’s environmental operation will be in the following neighborhoods:
-
Monday 12: Bajo Palermo
-
Tuesday 13: Hipólito Yrigoyen
-
Wednesday 14: Villa La Tela
-
Thursday 15: Rogelio Martínez
-
Friday the 16th: Hippodrome Garden
Once the Operational Center trucks have completed their journey through the homes, the waste collection companies (UrbaCor, LAM and LUSA) will reinforce their routes, lifting everything that could not be collected previously, in order to guarantee the cleanliness of the sector.
In addition, for those neighbors who are unable to leave useless items outside their homes when the truck passes by or who would like to take them personally at times that are convenient for them, a container will be available for two days that will be located at strategic points in the sector.
In turn, during the operation, Municipal personnel will survey abandoned vacant lands, informing their owners to carry out the cleaning and weeding.
In case of rain the operation will be rescheduled.
