Few disruptions on the rails. Rail traffic should be almost normal on Tuesday January 13 at the SNCF, despite the call for a national strike launched by two unions to demand an improvement in wages and working conditions, the company announced on Sunday December 11. “As part of the national social movement of Tuesday 13/01, traffic will be normal on TGV and Intercités and almost normal on regional trains with disruptions limited to a few lines in Occitanie and Ile-de-France”specified the SNCF in a press release.

This social movement takes place within the framework of the obligatory annual negotiations (NAO) which must conclude on Tuesday. Despite the payment of a bonus in December by management, the CGT-Cheminots and SUD-Rail believe that the account is not there.

In a leaflet published Thursday, the CGT calls for a 12% increase in wages and pensions as well as the implementation of a thirteenth month for all railway workers. She also denounces insufficient recruitment and the deterioration of working conditions by calling for mobilization. For SUD-Rail, “the evolution of the profession, marked by the constant increase in missions and imposed versatility, must force management to immediately increase salaries” of 400 euros for all employees and to increase bonuses.
