Volksbank Sauerland warns: The NRW.BANK.Invest Zukunft funding program will change from February 2026. Companies and private individuals should check planned investments now.
Stricter rules will apply from February: photovoltaic systems will only be funded together with other measures. Electric cars without a specific use and work machines with combustion engines are not eligible for funding. There are also limitations to digitalization, for example when it comes to hardware. For new or overhauled machines, the required energy efficiency increases to at least 25 percent.
Small and medium-sized companies continue to receive repayment subsidies, but the interest rate reduction falls from 2 to 1.5 percent. Anyone who still wants to benefit from the old conditions should submit applications in good time. Volksbank offers advice on the new funding options.
