The registration period opens for the Gran Canaria Central Lechera Asturiana Women’s Race 2026

The countdown begins for the first event of the national circuit of the Central Lechera Asturiana Women’s Race with the opening today of registration for the Gran Canaria race to be held on March 15. The “Pink Tide” has its first event of 2026 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria for the fifth consecutive year and, in addition to the 4,000 bibs available through the website www.carreradelamujer.com, there will be up to 100 completely supportive registrations in favor of the Canary Islands Breast and Gynecological Cancer Association.
In 2025, the historic figure of 1,600,000 women participating since 2004 in what is the largest women’s sporting event in Europe has been exceeded. In 2026, the objective will continue to be to spread the practice of running and aerobic exercise among women of all ages, fight against cancer, raise funds to promote its research and raise awareness about the importance of early prevention, as well as combat gender violence and the social and educational inequalities suffered by women in all areas.
As in recent editions, there will be a one-hour fitness and aerobics festival after the race and lots of entertainment.
The national circuit of the Central Lechera Asturiana 2026 Women’s Race will have the main sponsorship of Central Lechera Asturiana, Oysho and Banco Santander, along with Olistic and Marlene. With the collaboration of Cosmo, Cadena Dial and Daiichi-Sankyo Astrazeneca and with the support of the city councils of all the cities on the circuit.
The Gran Canaria Women’s Race has the main support of the Cabildo of Gran Canaria, through the Insular Institute of Sports and close collaboration with the City Council of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, through the Municipal Institute for the Promotion of Physical Activity and Sports together with the Port Authority of Las Palmas. Additionally, at the local level, the sponsors are San Roque University Hospitals and Hyundai Canarias, with the collaboration of Guaguas.
