Ultimea makes some of the best low-end soundbars, like the Ultimea Nova S50 and our current pick for ultra-cheap soundbars, the Ultimea Poseidon D50. That’s why we’re intrigued to learn that the brand will present a new high-end surround sound system with up to seven speakers at CES: the Skywave X100 Dual.
Ultimea describes the Skywave as its “flagship product for 2026” and has been showing off two versions of the product on Instagram and Facebook: the Skywave X100 and the Skywave X100 Dual. The first is a surround sound system with a single subwoofer, while the Dual has two.

So far, Ultimea is keeping details under wraps, preferring to show videos and images that hint at the design. But based on the CES preview image at the top of this article, the setup appears to be a 9.2.6-channel system with a center soundbar, four satellite speakers, and those two subwoofers, with Ultimea promising “cinematic-quality bass” and “effortless simplicity.”
If we enlarge and enhance the image above using advanced imaging technology (yes, it’s Photoshop), we see the planned layout of the new system: sound bar in the front, two small satellite speakers on the sides, two rear speakers, two subwoofers on each side of the sound bar, and a TV showing Edge of Tomorrow for demonstration (of course).
I assume that each of the small satellites includes one surround channel and one upstream channel, while the sound bar provides five surround channels and two upstream channels.
Ultimea’s current flagship is the X70 soundbar, which offers up to 980W in a 7.1.4 configuration with wireless satellites and a 10-inch subwoofer. Although it’s now discounted, the original retail price was $799 / £679 (about AU$1,192).
We’ve been very impressed with Ultimea’s budget soundbars, but if the It’s 5.1.2 rather than 9.2.6, but there’s more to a sound system than the number of channels, and Samsung’s is a great-sounding system.
However, if Ultimea manages to create a super-immersive Dolby Atmos system (Atmos isn’t mentioned in the Ultimea information so far, but it has to be) with multiple true surround speakers at a good price, it will certainly spark a lot of interest from the TechRadar team.
The brand’s livestream from CES should be interesting, especially since Ultimea says it intends to give out more than $10,000 in “raffle prizes” to live viewers. It will also feature more product announcements, including “a complete home audio ecosystem” that includes “wireless home theater systems, bookshelf speakers, active subwoofers, music players and karaoke machines.”
