JNE confirmed that 36 presidential formulas requested registration, but there are observations

The deadline to request the registration of candidates for the 2026 General Elections expired on December 23, with a total of 36 requests for the presidential ticket.

However, a group of the lists for the Presidency and Congress presented different errors.

The Special Electoral Juries (JEE) Lima Centro 1 and Lima Centro 2 declared different applications in political organizations inadmissible, due to basic non-compliance with the mandatory documentation.

The observations reveal non-existence or absence of primary election records, documents with incorrect dates, unfulfilled parity, applicants with dual candidacy, signatures and fingerprints outside the norm, and even incomplete government plans.

These are political parties that aspire to govern the country, but are unable to correctly complete the basic data of this important electoral milestone.
