MADRID 1 Ene. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The president of the United States, Donald Trump, has mocked American actor George Clooney and his wife, Amal Clooney, for obtaining French citizenship and has opined that the French country “is in the middle of a serious crime problem due to its absolutely horrendous management of immigration.”
“Good news! George and Amal Clooney, two of the worst political forecasters of all time, have officially become citizens of France, which, sadly, is in the middle of a serious crime problem due to its absolutely horrendous management of immigration, very similar to what we had under the sleepy Joe Biden (referring to the former president of the United States),” Trump wrote on his profile on his own social network, Truth Social.
“Clooney got more publicity for politics than for his very few and totally mediocre films. He was not a movie star at all, he was an ordinary guy who constantly complained about common sense in politics,” added the American president.
This is not the first time that Trump uses his social network to attack Clooney, given that last March he referred to him as a “second-rate actor” after some comments by the interpreter regarding press freedom in the country.
The Official Gazette of the French Republic, similar to the Official State Gazette (BOE) in Spain, dated December 26, states that both George Clooney and Amal Clooney (whose maiden name was Amal Alamuddin) and their two children (Alexander and Ella) obtained French nationality.
