South Korea-based multinational automobile company Hyundai is recalling 51,587 of its vehicles in the United States (USA).
The US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced on Wednesday that it decided to recall 51 thousand 587 of Hyundai’s vehicles on the grounds that it may increase the risk of fire by causing a short circuit in the trailer lights that are not working due to incorrect installation of the wiring harness.
As a solution, NHTSA advised vehicle owners to park their vehicles outside and away from structures until the recall repair is completed, and also stated that dealers will replace the trailer wiring harness free of charge.
Japan-based automobile company Toyota also decided to recall 55 thousand 405 vehicles in the USA yesterday; It was reported that Camry and Corolla Cross Hybrid were among the vehicles affected by the malfunction. NHTSA stated that the bolt inside the inverter in Toyota’s cars may not have been tightened properly, which may have caused incomplete contact at the inverter terminal.
