The expansion of national road No. 7 north of Warsaw was divided by GDDKiA into three contracts. Everyone assumes the modernization of the “country road” to the standard of a two-lane, three-lane expressway.
“Drivers have been using the first completed section, Modlin – Czosnów, since October. Today we are sharing two more: Płońsk Południe – Załuski (12.9 km) and Załuski – Modlin (12 km). Drivers will have two roads with three lanes at their disposal, but with restrictions on the section closest to Płońsk,” the ministry announced on Friday.
The Ministry added that in the case of the Załuski – Modlin project, the works had been completed and an occupancy permit had been obtained. It enabled the introduction of permanent traffic organization. Drivers can also use the Zakrętym and Załuski junctions.

“As for the section between the Płońsk Południe and Załuski junctions, work is still in progress. The speed limit on the route will be 100 km/h. At the Poczernin junction, all connections will be available, and the Przyborowice junction will be closed to traffic. If weather conditions allow, we expect the works to be completed in the first half of 2026.“- explained the ministry.
The ministry’s announcement shows that the Czosnów – Warsaw section of S7 between the capital and the Tricity is still to be completed, divided into two implementation tasks. The Masovian Voivode is conducting proceedings to issue a decision on the permit for the implementation of a road investment (ZRID) for the 9-kilometer section between Czosnów and Kiełpin. Work will be able to start after obtaining this decision, which is planned for the first quarter of 2026.
“For the last section, from Kiełpin to Warsaw, 12.9 km long, design documentation is being prepared for the purposes of obtaining a ZRID decision. The documentation is planned to be accepted in the second quarter of 2026. This section will be built by a contractor selected in a tender announced after obtaining a building permit (ZRID decision),” the ministry added.
