She would like to swim with a humpback whale someday. First of all, she takes the confident leap into the world of work. Julia Rosada has just founded her start-up Kalydo. The USP: AI is also an efficiency booster in marketing, but development in content production is still slow and AI assets often seem generic, almost like empty shells.
With Kalydo, she has developed a research-validated approach to using AI in such a way that content is not only created more quickly, but also really reflects the individual characteristics of a brand and is performance-optimized. “We are developing a scalable process that automatically recognizes and reliably reproduces brand-specific patterns, so that the content reflects the brand identity and at the same time performs measurably better in the respective target group,” she explains.
After graduating from high school, the now 32-year-old from Essen did her bachelor’s degree in business administration, then a gap year with internships at the Otto Group and Unilever, then a master’s degree and then a doctorate.
What was the promotion about? “I examined how artificial intelligence is changing marketing on the company and consumer side and what new opportunities and challenges arise from it,” she explains. Her start-up, with which she is already serving her first customers, is also based on this research.
Her whole being seems like a small firework that spreads sparks of curiosity – and that has already served her well. For example at the Otto Group. “I actually wanted to do a marketing internship at Otto between my bachelor’s and master’s degrees, but that was already taken,” she says. Instead, Rosada was offered a position in business intelligence.
Enthusiasm for data-driven business models sparked
New territory for them. That’s exactly why she decided to do it. “That might sound a bit pathetic, but it sparked my enthusiasm for data-driven business models,” reveals the founder. “Analyzing big data has shaped my entire career path up to this point,” she says, raising her hands and letting her gaze wander into the distance: “Taking consumer research to another level – that fascinated me. And from that point on I positioned myself digitally.”
She also loves the offline mode. For example, when she wanders through Hamburg, her adopted home, where she lives with her partner. Or when she goes running, “for half-marathon distances.” Sport and exercise are her elixir. And that’s where the whale comes into play again, with whom she would like to float through the sea one day: “That’s really a big dream.” Maybe it will soon come true – as soon as Julia Rosada achieves her goal: riding the wave of success with Kalydo. At the top.
