Spotify launched a new feature called Prompted Playlistsdesigned to offer a deeper level of customization in playlists. The tool allows users Describe what you want to hear using simple text to guide the algorithm directly.
In addition to the main request, users can set specific rulessuch as how frequently the list is updated or when to renew songs. With this information, Spotify uses your entire listening history to generate more precise and coherent selections.
Each recommendation will also include an explanation of why you were chosengiving greater transparency to the operation of the algorithm. The function also offers predefined templates that generate custom lists from the main screen to simplify the process.
For now, Prompted Playlists is in betaavailable only for Premium users in New Zealand and with exclusive support for English. Spotify plans to expand this feature to more regions over the next yearreinforcing its commitment to a musical experience that is more tailored to each user.
