Vanderbilt University Medical Center will operate office space at this Brentwood building.

As the Post previously reported, VUMC has leased the building and 43-acre property of the former AT&T data center at 402 Franklin Road in Brentwood. The 347,500-square-foot building is one of Brentwood’s largest. Zoning allows for the property to be used for medical office space.
According to a release, rehab will begin in the near future to convert the space into a medical facility that will provide outpatient clinical services. An exact timeline was not provided.
The location will include cancer diagnostic and treatment services, including surgery, diagnostic and treatment services for heart and vascular care and clinics for orthopedics and sports medicine.
Additionally, it will have laboratory and imaging capabilities on-site.
VUMC has a history of property redevelopment with its conversion of a former shopping mall into Vanderbilt Health at One Hundred Oaks and the redevelopment of a former grocery into Vanderbilt Health Belle Meade, now an outpatient surgery and multispecialty clinic.
The new facility will increase Vanderbilt Health’s presence in Williamson County.
VUMC is also affiliated with Williamson Health, the county’s nonprofit independent hospital system.
Its offerings in the county include adult specialty care, pediatric emergency and inpatient care provided by Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, as well as five walk-in clinics.
