Currently Kohli and Rohit are playing for India only in ODI format. Both returned to the team during the last Aussie tour. Very few players talk to the coach during the series. Meanwhile, after the first ODI against South Africa, footage of Kohli ignoring Gambhir has emerged. As the star walked back to the dressing room, despite Gambhir being nearby, Kohli passed by unconcerned. Kohli looked at his phone and moved towards the dressing room. Moreover, pictures of Gambhir getting into a heated argument with Rohit Sharma are also circulating widely.
Various sources have informed the BCCI that the relationship that Kohli and Rohit had with Rahul Dravid when he was coach, is no longer with Gambhir. Due to this, the relationship between them deteriorates. It is reported that the BCCI is also unhappy with the ongoing discussions about the future of Kohli and Rohit in the Indian team.
Meanwhile, the BCCI has called an emergency meeting ahead of the second ODI against South Africa. It is reported that some top officials including Indian cricket team head coach Gautam Gambhir and selection committee chairman Ajit Agarkar were also called to the meeting. The meeting is for urgent consideration of some matters.
