Lotte Well Food was highly praised for its consistent contribution to resolving medical imbalances and contributing to the local community through the mobile dental clinic campaign ‘The Doctor Xylitol Bus is Coming!’ that directly visits medically vulnerable areas. The campaign has been operated since 2009 using a portion of the proceeds from Lotte Xylitol Gum, and has provided free oral checkups and treatment to residents in areas with low dental accessibility, such as islands and mountains, using buses equipped with medical equipment.

Over the past 13 years, it has been held more than 141 times across the country, including Jeju Island, Ulleungdo Island, and Yeonpyeong Island, and about 1,300 people, including dentists belonging to the Korean Dental Association, dental hygienists, and volunteers, participated. So far, 12,145 treatments have been performed, and the cumulative number of patients treated is approximately 7,400. This year’s CSR Film Festival Awards entries can be found on the CSR Film Festival Awards website and YouTube channel.

Meanwhile, Lotte Well Food is continuously carrying out various activities to return product profits to society in order to repay the love received from consumers. Not only the Xylitol brand, but also the Pepero brand is carrying out the ‘Happy Home’ project using the proceeds to support the construction of a local children’s center, and in conjunction with this, the ‘Happy Picnic’ project to help children’s cultural life is also being developed.

A Lotte Well Food official said, “For the past 13 years, ‘The Doctor Xylitol Bus is coming!’ “It is meaningful to be recognized with this award for contributing to eliminating medical blind spots and working to improve the oral health of residents through the campaign,” he said. “We will continue to provide support to areas with low access to medical care and neighbors in need.”
