About a week ago, the Valmiera theater through the organization “ziedot.lv” started collecting funds for actor Aigars Vilims, who is fighting cancer.
The information on “ziedot.lv” shows that approximately 35,000 euros have already been donated to support Vilim, out of the approximately 62,000 required.
As the Valmiera theater reported, Aigaram was diagnosed with a stomach tumor more than a year ago. At the moment, Aigaras has been prescribed expensive medical treatment, not paid for by the state, for the implementation of which public assistance is requested.
Only those closest to him knew that in between performances, Aigars goes to the hospital in Riga to be treated for a malignant tumor. The course of treatment is subordinated to the theater repertoire, for which Aigars is grateful to his doctors.
At the moment, Aigaras is prescribed expensive medical treatment that is not paid for by the state. 5,216.96 euros are needed to buy medicine every month. A total of 62,603.52 euros is needed per year.

These are just some of his brightest roles. Currently, Aigar’s most important role in the Valmiera Theater is Mikus’ father in the highly rated production “The Lost Son”, it is said in the record.
