Hanyang Cyber University (President Lee Ki-jeong) will be recruiting new and transfer students for the first semester of the 2026 school year starting December 1.

Among these, the Department of Semiconductor Engineering is a contract department operated in conjunction with Samsung Electronics, and was created as the first cyber university in Korea to improve the job capabilities of high school graduates. It is evaluated as a success story of establishing a practical industry-academia cooperation model through organic collaboration between industry and academia. In addition, Hanyang Cyber University operates industrial consignment training in cooperation with over 600 industries and public institutions.
External expert participation is also active. The Department of Hotel and Restaurant Management invited Chef Lee Yeon-bok, a master of domestic Chinese cuisine, as a special professor to help students acquire practical sense and industry trends that can be immediately used in the restaurant industry.

The Department of AI Application Software Engineering and the Department of Elderly Welfare and Nursing are new departments that will be established starting next year. This is a result that reflects social changes, such as nurturing talent with artificial intelligence (AI) and software convergence capabilities, and nurturing professional manpower in the nursing and welfare fields in response to entering a super-aging society.
Hanyang Cyber University Graduate School has the largest number of students (1,119 as of this year) among domestic cyber universities. Recruitment of new students for master’s and doctoral programs at the Graduate School of General Studies and Management for the first half of the 2026 academic year began on October 27, and will close on the 12th of next month. 320 master’s degree students and 120 doctoral students are recruited through quota selection. In addition to the garden, we operate military consignment, industrial consignment, and foreigner selection. This selection provides several benefits, including exemption from admission fees and tuition reduction. The recruiting major consists of eight general departments (Department of Mechanical and IT Convergence Engineering, Department of Architecture and Urban Engineering, Department of Children’s Studies, Department of Counseling Psychology, Department of Law and Public Administration, Department of Real Estate, Department of Educational Engineering, Department of Design Planning) and one department specializing in management (Business Administration).
You can fill out an application online at the Admissions Center website and then submit a self-introduction and study plan. Since the self-introduction and study plan account for 70% of the overall evaluation, it is advantageous to specify the motivation for applying and study plan in detail. You must also take a 30-minute academic performance test. Questions are asked in various areas, including educational goals and ideologies, language, mathematics, cyber ethics, and computer learning skills. Afterwards, the application is completed by submitting the necessary supporting documents. Scholarships are provided to office workers, full-time housewives, job seekers, high school graduates, and those with excellent language proficiency. Special admission applicants also have benefits such as tuition reduction.
