The former employee of the restaurant-bar La Belle et la Bœuf in Chicoutimi, Ahmed May, who pleaded guilty to charges of attempted murder, serious assault and armed assault last April, now wants to be relieved of his guilty plea.

Sentencing submissions were due to take place next Monday, but her lawyer informed the court today that she was withdrawing from the case.
May has until January 9 to make a request to withdraw the plea, otherwise it will stand.
The accused will return to court on February 2, whether he is represented by a lawyer or not.
The victims present in the room were disappointed with this new delay.
