Bern, November 21, 2025 — Fifteen recruits completed training to become first person view drone pilots in order to be able to subsequently be deployed with the troops in a field test. In this, they used their skills to support the development of operational procedures for attack drones. The training in Thun and the subsequent field test in Bure further expanded the Swiss Army’s drone capabilities and took place in the context of the Drone Task Force with the participation of the Swiss Army, the Federal Armasuisse Office and external partners.
