The district final of the German Youth Team Championships (DMSJ) of the South Westphalia Swimming Association took place in Bochum-Hofstede on November 8th and 9th, 2025. The DMSJ is the German relay swimming championship for young swimmers and is held in several stages – district, state and federal finals.
Seven swimmers competed for the water friends TuRa Bergkamen in Youth D (born 2014/15): Emilia Minnerup, Mila Ellerkmann, Elisa Yüksekogul, Novalie Schamann, Nova Meschkapowitz as well as Romina and Sophia Kreutzer. The young team had to complete the 4×50 m butterfly, 4×100 m freestyle, 4×100 m breaststroke, 4×100 m backstroke and 4×100 m medley relays and achieved a decent seventh place.
Coach Hanna Juds praised her team’s commitment and motivation. The team showed great solidarity, swam a lot of good times and bravely held their own against the strong competition.
