  • The best free agents in 2026

The NFL season has already ended for 30 teams. And when the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots play the 60th Super Bowl champions on February 8th, there won’t be a long respite. The new season is just around the corner, starting with free agency in mid-March. And there are some exciting players on the market this year!

  • Deebo Samuel (WR, Washington Commanders)

    Deebo Samuel (WR, Washington Commanders)

The Washington adventure didn’t go as hoped for Samuel. Now it’s probably time for the next challenge for the wide receiver, who finished the season with 72 catches for 727 yards.

  • <a href=Mike Evans (WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers)” title=”Mike Evans (WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers)” border=”0″ data-imageid=”I_1418566″ onerror=”this.style.display=’none'” class=”square” loading=”lazy”/>

Mike Evans (WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers)

Mike Evans in a different jersey than the Bucs? This is not an easy idea. However, it could very well come true if the Bucs want to give their receiving corps a makeover.

  • Trey Hendrickson (Edge, Cincinnati Bengals)

    Trey Hendrickson (Edge, Cincinnati Bengals)

He had wanted to leave Cincy for the last few years, but then came to an agreement with the Bengals. Now Hendrickson can finally test his market. After a weak season with many injury concerns and the premature end due to surgery on the core muscles, he could become a bargain.

  • <a href=Khalil Mack (Edge, Los Angeles Chargers)” title=”Khalil Mack (Edge, Los Angeles Chargers)” border=”0″ data-imageid=”I_1418569″ onerror=”this.style.display=’none'” class=”square” loading=”lazy”/>

Khalil Mack (Edge, Los Angeles Chargers)

Mack is no longer the dominant pass rusher he once was. But he still brings enough with him to be able to help teams immediately. 5.5 sacks in 12 games is not the best, but Mack will certainly find a team.

  • <a href=Trevon Diggs (CB, Green Bay Packers)” title=”Trevon Diggs (CB, Green Bay Packers)” border=”0″ data-imageid=”I_1418572″ onerror=”this.style.display=’none'” class=”square” loading=”lazy”/>

Trevon Diggs (CB, Green Bay Packers)

Was traded to the Packers shortly before the end of the season, who parted ways with him after two games. But because Diggs has repeatedly flashed his skills in the past, he too will have his market.

  • George Pickens (WR, Dallas Cowboys)

    George Pickens (WR, Dallas Cowboys)

Came to Dallas for a third-round pick with just one year on his contract and showed his skills! He even outshone CeeDee Lamb on America’s Team. After the best season of his career, Pickens will now be in for a big payday. However, it is a hot candidate for the franchise tag.

  • Jauan Jennings (WR, San Francisco 49ers)

Jauan Jennings (WR, San Francisco 49ers)

In the last two years it has developed into an important starting point in the Bay Area. After playing for a total of $15 million over those years, Jennings will now be eyeing a bigger payday.

  • Breece Hall (RB, New York Jets)

Breece Hall (RB, New York Jets)

Would prefer to leave the Jets today rather than tomorrow. That became clear around the trade deadline. Now, as a free agent, he can freely choose his team. If it weren’t for the franchise tag… there would be plenty of interested parties!

  • Kenneth Walker (RB, Seattle Seahawks)

    Kenneth Walker (RB, Seattle Seahawks)

Walker may enter free agency as a newly crowned Super Bowl winner. Formed a dangerous backfield with Zach Charbonnet and has taken on even more responsibility since his injury.

  • Malik Willis (QB, Green Bay Packers)

Malik Willis (QB, Green Bay Packers)

Acted as Jordan Love’s backup and made a few appearances for the Packers. After his difficult time in Tennessee, Willis showed that he certainly has his quality in the right circumstances. Might be an interesting personality for some teams looking for a quarterback.

  • Alec Pierce (WR, Indianapolis Colts)

    Alec Pierce (WR, Indianapolis Colts)

Pierce improved noticeably last season. He led the league in yards per reception (21.3) for the second straight year. The beefy receiver is one of the most dangerous deep threats in the NFL and is certainly popular on the market.

  • Christian Kirk (WR, Houston Texans)

    Christian Kirk (WR, Houston Texans)

Comes from a very valuable contract (4 years, 72 million) that he once signed in Jacksonville. It will no longer have this market value. But as a slot receiver, Kirk could help some teams.

  • Tyler Linderbaum (C, Baltimore Ravens)

    Tyler Linderbaum (C, Baltimore Ravens)

Linderbaum is one of the best centers in the league and is still young at 25 years old. “PFF” saw him as one of the top five players at his position this season with an offensive grade of 79.8.

  • Kyle Pitts (TE, Atlanta Falcons)

    Kyle Pitts (TE, Atlanta Falcons)

After a few difficult years, he experienced a kind of renaissance in the 2025 season. This significantly increased his value again. The Falcons are likely to be his first port of call, but the talented tight end will also have plenty of interest across the rest of the league. Also one with franchise tag potential.

  • Daniel Jones (QB, Indianapolis Colts)

    Daniel Jones (QB, Indianapolis Colts)

Surprised everyone with his performance with the Colts. They would like to have Jones back, even if he is currently in the middle of rehab after his Achilles tendon tear. Staying, if necessary via a franchise tag, is considered almost certain.

  • Travis Etienne (RB, Jacksonville Jaguars)

    Travis Etienne (RB, Jacksonville Jaguars)

After a forgettable 2024 season, Etienne impressively rehabilitated himself. Last season he played in every game and had 1,107 rushing yards. He also proved to be a weapon in the passing game.

  • Rashid Shaheed (WR, Seattle Seahawks)

    Rashid Shaheed (WR, Seattle Seahawks)

The signing of Shaheed took the Seahawks offense to a new level. His speed and qualities coupled with the danger as a returner are exceptional.

  • Bobby Wagner (LB, Washington Commanders)

    Bobby Wagner (LB, Washington Commanders)

Wagner is now 35 years old, but still plays at a high level. Still had the fifth-most tackles in the NFL last season and, with his leadership qualities, is a more than solid newcomer for any team.

  • Braden Smith (OT, Indianapolis Colts)

    Braden Smith (OT, Indianapolis Colts)

Was a consistently good and often available right tackle for a long time. A neck injury has now put him out of action and will probably reduce his market value somewhat. The experienced offensive lineman will still have interest.

  • Travis Kelce (TE, Kansas City Chiefs)

Travis Kelce (TE, Kansas City Chiefs)

Travis Kelce officially becomes a free agent. However, it is difficult to imagine that this will actually happen. If the iconic tight end doesn’t want to end his career yet, it would be very surprising if Kelce and the Chiefs didn’t agree on a new contract before free agency.

  • Aaron Rodgers (QB, Pittsburgh Steelers)

    Aaron Rodgers (QB, Pittsburgh Steelers)

Aaron Rodgers has a similar situation. However, it seems much more likely that he will actually end his career. The Steelers may be able to persuade him again. However, it is unlikely that he will come on the market for another team.

  • Alex Singleton (LB, Denver Broncos)

    Alex Singleton (LB, Denver Broncos)

Singleton was part of one of the best defenses, perhaps even the best defense, in the league. And an elementary part. The linebacker had the best season of his career and should be in high demand on the market.

  • Matt Milano (LB, Buffalo Bills)

    Matt Milano (LB, Buffalo Bills)

His big problem is availability. After two seasons with five and four appearances, Milano appeared in at least twelve games this season. He still proved to be an important part of the defense.

  • Rasheed Walker (OT, Green Bay Packers)

Rasheed Walker (OT, Green Bay Packers)

The left tackle started all games for the Packers and had a win rate in pass blocking of 55.9 percent. That ranks 15th among offensive tackles this season. At 25 years old, he still has room for development.

  • Jaelan Phillips (Edge, Philadelphia Eagles)

    Jaelan Phillips (Edge, Philadelphia Eagles)

Came to Philadelphia around the trade deadline, but finished the season there strongly. Overall, he collected the ninth-most QB pressures in the NFL (73), 41 of them in the Eagles uniform from week 10. This will have increased his market value again.

  • Quay Walker (LB, Green Bay Packers)

Quay Walker (LB, Green Bay Packers)

The former first-round pick may leave a big hole in the Green Bay Packers’ defense. Walker is an exceptional athlete physically and with his skillset he will certainly be in demand in free agency.

  • Devin Lloyd (LB, Jacksonville Jaguars)

    Devin Lloyd (LB, Jacksonville Jaguars)

PFF rated Lloyd as the NFL’s third-best inside linebacker with a grade of 89.1. His five interceptions (2nd in the NFL) were also exceptional. In keeping with the end of his contract, Lloyd had another strong season.
