In the first three quarters of 2025, premium collection in the health sector, with an increase of 12.7% year on year in the health sector and 3.1% for the accident sector. The premiums collected in 2024 by insurance companies in the health sector amounted to 8 billion euros: 3.6 billion for the accident branch and 4.4 billion for the illness sector. And they rose by 7.8% compared to 2023.
The accident class grew by 2.9% and the health class by 12.1%.

In the first three quarters of 2025 the trend in premium collection continued, with a greater increase for the health class (+12.7% compared to the third quarter of 2024) compared to the accident class (+3.1%).

The market is concentrated: the top five companies collect 68% of premiums in the health sector and over 61% in the accident sector.
