Zero Terminal 3 Pocket PC with Touch Screen Powered by Raspberry Pi Zero

Enthusiast NODE presented a project of an interesting portable device – a pocket computer Zero Terminal 3, built on the Raspberry Pi Zero hardware platform.

Recall that the miniature Raspberry Pi Zero module is equipped with a Broadcom BCM2835 processor with an ARM11 core with a clock speed of 1 GHz, as well as 512 MB of RAM. There are two Micro-USB ports and one Mini-HDMI interface.

As part of the Zero Terminal 3 mini-computer, the Raspberry Pi Zero module functions in tandem with a 5.5-inch Full HD (1920 × 1080 pixels) touchscreen display. Outwardly, the entire device resembles a bulky monoblock smartphone.

The design of the pocket computer provides for a full-size USB 2.0 Type-A port, a Micro-USB connector for charging, a slot for a microSD flash card, a standard 3.5 mm audio jack and three programmable buttons. Plus there is a small built-in speaker. Power is supplied by a 1200 mAh rechargeable battery.

It should be noted that the product allows the connection of various accessories. This could be, say, a QWERTY keyboard, game controller, or solar panel. Below you can watch a video on the creation of Zero Terminal 3:
