Hollerbach. (mag) The youth groups of the Buchen youth fire department met for the city rally for the 18th time and determined the winner at six game stations. Mayor Joachim Weis, commander Andreas Hollerbach, youth director Matthias Grimm and deputy Jürgen Müller presented the coveted challenge cup to the Hettigenbeuern youth group.

The youth groups met on Sunday afternoon as part of the wine festival to mark the 85th founding anniversary of what is now the Hollerbach Fire Department. The six play stations were prepared and supervised by the youth group leaders. The play stations were the team labyrinth of the youth group (JG) Hettingen, cup transport (JG Buchen), tactile game (JG Götzingen), mini golf (JG Hettigenbeuern), stilt running (JG Hainstadt) and water transport with a wheelbarrow.

At the beginning, the teams were assigned a starting station at which they should start and then complete all other stations. The young people completed the tasks in exciting rounds and diligently collected points. At one station, the groups were able to place a joker before the game and thus double the points achieved.

At the award ceremony, mayor Joachim Weis and commander Andreas Hollerbach were happy about the young people’s commitment and that the city rally was finally taking place again after an extended Corona break. Youth fire brigade warden Matthias Grimm congratulated the 13 young people who had received the youth fire brigade’s highest badge, the youth performance clasp, the day before.

He also thanked the organizing youth fire brigade Hollerbach and his deputy Jürgen Müller for the preparation and evaluation of the city rally. The guests in the Röckelscheune eagerly awaited the placings of the individual groups:
