Continent Ajou’s Pioneering Focus on Africa

In 2017, the firm established its dedicated African team (now the African group), providing specialized legal counsel to companies seeking to enter and operate within the diverse African landscape. This proactive approach aligns with the increasing interest from Korean businesses in exploring opportunities across the continent.

This partnership comes at a time when trade and investment between South Korea and Africa are steadily growing. Key sectors driving this growth include electronics, automotive, and infrastructure growth.

Yonhap News’ Ubuntu Initiative

Yonhap News further demonstrated its commitment to fostering Korea-Africa relations with the launch of the Ubuntu Promotion Team in November of last year. This initiative, the first of its kind among domestic media companies, underscores the growing recognition of Africa’s importance on the global stage and the need for increased understanding and engagement.
