Keep Refreshing for the Latest Results

Welcome, wrestling enthusiasts, to a live WWE NXT coverage brought to you by 411! My name is Jeremy Thomas, and tonight’s NXT promises to be a thrilling event filled with high-stakes matches and exciting developments. The WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships are on the line as Bianca Belair and Naomi take on Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson. PPCW champion Fallon Henley defends her Women’s North American Title against Shotzi. Other matches include Giulia and Bayley facing off against Roxanne Perez and Cora Jade, Trick Williams challenging Wes Lee, and Oba Femi making an appearance on The Grayson Waller Effect.

Jeremy Thomas’ Collector’s Corner

Switching gears, here’s what’s been happening at Thomas HQ this week. It was another buy week for me with a strong emphasis on movie-watching, especially as part of Giallo January. Films like Lucio Fulci’s Don’t Torture a Duckling, Dario Argento’s Phenomena, Opera, and 1972’s The Case of the Bloody Iris filled my screen, all of which were top-notch entries in the genre. On the flip side, Argento’s The Stendhal Syndrome didn’t quite hit the mark for me due to its poor pacing.

Beyond giallos, I managed to catch Back in Action, a mediocre January Netflix action-comedy that somehow justifies the 2025 quota. I also indulged in my semiannual comfort rewatch of Scott Pilgrim vs. the World and encountered the fantastic September 5, a gripping tale about ABC Sports’ coverage of the 1972 Olympics terror attack that might have made my top 30 list had I seen it earlier.

Bayley & Giulia vs Cora & Roxanne Perez

Cora and Roxy made an attempt to throw Bayley and Giulia off their game straight away, but the babyfaces were ready and quickly tumbled them out of the ring. Roxy launched into action, catching Giulia with a backslide for two, before it was a back-and-forth contest of counters, pin attempts, and impressive maneuvers.

The match intensified when Roxy engaged Bayley, triggering a series of fierce exchanges. Bayley and Giulia showcased their synchronized teamwork, combining throws, reversals, and powerful suplexes to reclaim control. Roxy and Cora fought fiercely against them, pushing each other to the edge with suplexes, dropkicks, and technical brilliance.

Despite valiant efforts from Roxy and Cora, Bayley and Giulia’s chemistry and powerful teamwork eventually prevailed. Bayley finished off the champions with a running slam, scoring the pin for what proved to be a strong and electrifying start to the show.

Thoughts: A highly enjoyable match that made the most of its time. Bayley and Giulia’s performance set a strong tone for the rest of the event.

The Grayson Waller Effect

Grayson Waller took the ring with energy for The Grayson Waller Effect. He welcomed Oba Femi into the ring, praising him as a rising star in NXT. Oba Femi, pulled up on his chair by Ava D’Ark, showcased his charm and confidence, telling the crowd not to count him out.

Grayson and Austin Theory criticized Oba Femi, but Waller emphasized the junior champion’s achievements in NXT. A series of technical moves and hard-hitting slams kept the crowd engaged. Wes employed moves like the Meteora and the Camelface Clutch, but Trick’s resilience saw him fight back with furious punches and uppercuts. The match reached a boiling point when Trick’s foot caught in the ring boards, setting the stage for a Wildfire finish.

Ava D’Ark interrupted to disqualify Trick, ensuring Wes’ victory. Despite the DQ, the crowd cheered for a hard-fought match.
