Russia has banned the supply of petroleum products to Belarus

Russia imposed a ban on exports of light and dark petroleum products and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) to Belarus until the end of 2019. It is reported by Reuters, citing the head of the Russian Ministry of Energy, Alexander Novak.

According to the minister, it specifically prohibits the supply of petrol, diesel and fuel oil. At the same time, an agreement between countries implies the maintenance of deliveries of certain petroleum products that are not produced in Belarus and are necessary from the point of view of consumption.

"This is a separate list with the protocol, a large list – paints and varnish products, chemical products, ie products from petrochemical plants," said Novak.

Earlier, the head of the department said that the export of Russian oil products to the territory of Belarus is inappropriate. According to him, Belarus fully supplies itself with its own oil products, which it receives from Russian oil.
