It is said that Reynhard Sinaga (pictured above) is Britain’s most prolific rapist
Reynahrd Sinaga lived in a scruffy apartment near the gay town of Manchester, but boasted the luxury lifestyle of his rich family in Indonesia.
His life in Britain as a perpetual student was funded by the money sent to him by his father, a property mogul in the conservative country of Southeast Asia.
Sinaga seemed reluctant to return there because her parents Saibun and Normawaty, who did not know he was gay, wanted him to marry and settle.
“His father is a very rich man,” recalled an old friend. ‘They have a mansion in the center of Jakarta. He boasted maids, drivers, of all kinds.
Sinaga, who has a younger sister and brother, clearly enjoyed Manchester’s liberal and tolerant lifestyle, and never hid her sexuality while living in the city.
It was the antithesis of Indonesia, where homosexuality is deeply frowned upon and remains illegal in some states.

Sinaga admitted that he will adopt a more conservative appearance when he travels to visit his family in his homeland.
The former friend said: ‘My impression is that the family found him not normal but he never told them he was gay. He used to change his hair and clothes to go home.
The Sinaga apartment in Montana House was a few hundred meters from the gay village of Manchester, and just around the corner from bars and clubs frequented by the young students it attacked.
“He used to go out on dates a lot” and “he slept a lot too,” said his friend, adding: “His family is so rich that he never worked and always went out with different people during the week, what I remember.”
Sinaga (pictured above) faces life for drugging and raping dozens of men in Manchester
A sketch of the court in the photo above of Sinaga (center) was imprisoned for life with a minimum period of 30 years.
He said Sinaga, who was “obsessed” with the Spice Girls while growing up, said his family didn’t understand him and found him “strange.”
‘His parents tried to make him meet a girl from his country. They wanted me to get married and have a family.
Sinaga, known as Rey, arrived in the United Kingdom as a student in 2007, when he was 24 years old. He completed a master’s degree in planning at the University of Manchester, then continued his studies at the same institution by taking another master’s degree in sociology, graduating in 2011.
After this, he enrolled for a doctorate in geography at the University of Leeds, traveling regularly there to supervise his thesis, entitled ‘Sexuality and everyday transnationalism. Gay and bisexual men from South Asia in Manchester ‘.
Synaga was raised as a Roman Catholic and remained a devout Christian while in Manchester.
He wrote essays on topics such as ‘queer geography’, some of which were published online, but academics discovered that his work did not meet the required standard.
The University of Leeds suspended him in his arrest in 2017 and expelled him after his first trial in 2018.
Devastating scale of its depravity
Sinaga is believed to be the worst sexual predator in the world in terms of convictions.
It is believed that no other rapist was convicted of such a large number of crimes, but it is feared that some have had at least the same number of victims.
Joji Obara is believed to have raped 150 to 400 women in Japan.
Obara, now 68, was tried for raping and killing British hostess Lucie Blackman in 2000. He obtained a life sentence for the kidnapping, dismemberment and removal of the body of the former BA worker, but was acquitted of causing him death. He also gained life for raping nine other women.
It is believed that British pedophile Richard Huckle assaulted up to 200 children in Southeast Asia between 2006 and 2014.
He received 22 life sentences in the United Kingdom after admitting 71 counts of sexual abuse. The 33-year-old was killed by an inmate at HMP Full Sutton, North Yorkshire, last year.
Synaga was raised as a Roman Catholic and remained a devout Christian while in Manchester.
He worshiped in San Juan and San Crisóstomo, a liberal Anglican church in Rusholme, one mile from his apartment.
There he befriended two older gay men, referring to them as “his gay parents.”
Sinaga’s conviction has been a deep shock to his family, who visited him regularly in Britain and is believed to have made at least one trip to see him in prison.
Family friend Sahat Sinaga, a palm oil tycoon based in Jakarta, said: “This is shocking news that they must face.” Sinaga’s mother and sister, Friska, a doctor, provided him with references at his trial. Judge Suzanne Goddard QC said they knew nothing about the “cold, cunning and calculated rapist.”
Sinaga agreed and said: ‘No, they would not know all this. They will be shocked, deeply shocked. ‘
Sinaga’s father declined to comment on the case.
Sinaga would go looking for victims in the early hours of the morning, approaching lonely young people by the nightclubs of Fifth Avenue and the Factory near their floor, according to the court.
He would make friends with them chatting about college life or music, or offer assistance if they were too drunk for a taxi driver to take them home.
The victims simply thought he was trying to help them and the majority went voluntarily to his apartment. But the true nature of Sinaga was revealed in an online chat with another gay friend about his exploits.
The friend joked: ‘There is always a new one. Shit, honey, you get a different ladder [man] weekly.’ In response, Sinaga mocked the method he used to attack his victims, drugging them until they were unconscious.
‘Shit, black magic potion,’ he wrote. ‘Manchester is a magical city. City of gay romance, city of gay love. Take a sip of my secret poison. It will make you fall in love. One drop should be enough. Having raped a heterosexual man twice in the early hours of New Year’s Eve 2015, Sinaga told a friend in a disgusting display: ‘I met him at the factory [a nearby bar]. Straight, 22, playing football. He was straight in 2014. 2015 is his breakthrough for the gay world hahaha. ”
The unsuspecting victim said he had “felt guilty for having imposed himself on Mr. Sinaga.”
In an exchange about another victim, a friend asked Sinaga: “Did you meet him in [gay dating app] Grindr, honey?
Then they joked about ‘Ray’s room is too messy’. The friend added: “There will be male bodies piled up under the bed.”
Sinaga replied: ‘It is really very discreet, a sanctuary for heterosexual children. They hide in my closet.
The friend compared Sinaga with ‘Robin Hood, stealing from the lines to give to the gays’.
A woman who knew Sinaga well until 2013 told The Guardian that he considered himself “a little Peter Pan.” She described him as “narcissistic and somewhat naive for everything.”
Upon passing the sentence, Judge Goddard said that Sinaga had shown “no remorse and, in fact, sometimes during the case he seemed to be enjoying the trial process.”
He had grown his hair and took notes during the tests. At one stage, he even seemed to make fun of the prosecutor for his views on sex.
Sinaga looked for young drunks in nightclubs near his apartment in Manchester (above)
Alcohol bottles are shown on the floor of Sinaga. He is believed to have drugged men when he gave them a drink of his alcohol selection.
He claimed that it was “a bit discriminatory” to say that his exploits “were not like normal sex,” and prosecutor accused Iain Simkin of believing that sex could only “be between a man and a woman.” Under an interrogation, Sinaga claimed that his victims voluntarily participated in a ’50 Shades of Gray ‘style sexual game, a reference to EL James’s best-selling novel about a sado-masochistic romance, and only pretended to be asleep.
But in the videos shown to Manchester Crown Court, a man could look motionless on the floor for 37 minutes, while another’s face was covered with a sheet. Several snoring was heard. A smiling Synaga told the jury: ‘The fact that it seems strange or 50 shades of Gray or something, a strange sexual fantasy, does not mean that it does not exist.
‘It happens underground, it is common.’
The 5-foot-7-inch rapist, in a soft voice, said he was “very gentle, affectionate and sensitive,” since he had sex with his victims as part of the game, instead of acting “creepy” not to wake them up. In some of the images, he could be seen moving away from his victims and turning off the light if they stirred so that they would go back to sleep.
A map of Manchester city center shows where the Sinaga floor (in red) is located along with the Factory and Fifth Avenue nightclubs, which many of the complainants had previously visited
When asked about his sexuality, Sinaga said: “I am openly gay.” He agreed that he would describe himself as “extravagant.” He said: ‘I make myself available all the time. For some, I may seem like a young lady, which seems popular among curious young people looking for a gay experience. I’m effeminate It is natural in me.
Sinaga said he chose his apartment in the center of Manchester because “he wanted to live among the gay community and near the gay village,” and added that he left “almost every night.”
Back in Indonesia, Sinaga’s family and friends have been breaking ties with him, eliminating links and images on social networks.
His face has faded from the Facebook pages of those who mentioned him as a friend. No one could blame them.
The rugby who played sixth woke up to find a naked rapist who bothered him: the teenager reveals how he hit the attacker, escaped … then took the police to his den
By Richard Marsden for the Daily Mail
But for the courage of a teenage victim, Reynhard Sinaga’s crimes may never have come to light.
The sixth former 18-year-old woke up in the department of Sinaga to be sexually assaulted.
Although he was still in a “confused and disoriented” state, he was able to push Sinaga and fight with his naked attacker to escape.
Giving evidence, the victim said the rapist had persuaded him to return to his apartment to “get out of the cold” after losing contact with his friends in a nightclub.
Specialized police officers and victim support services are waiting to listen to anyone who believes that Sinaga (pictured) may have approached them at a night out.
He had left the Factory club in Manchester around midnight and was waiting for a message from his friends when Sinaga approached.
On the floor, the victim remembered receiving two shots of a red liquid. Sinaga then poured a “swallow of clear liquid from something that looked like a bottle of Sambuca.”
Although he had been drinking alcohol earlier that night, the victim said he had been in the nightclub for only an hour and was not drunk.
Patel hints at drug law change
Priti Patel ordered an urgent investigation into “dating rape drugs” after Reynhard Sinaga used them for his horrible sexual crimes.
The Minister of the Interior asked her official advisors to analyze whether stricter controls are needed for medications such as GHB, also known as “liquid ecstasy.”
It is believed that Sinaga has mixed alcoholic beverages with drugs to knock out victims before raping them.
Interior Secretary Priti Patel has called for an urgent review to determine if stricter controls are needed for rape drugs.
During her sentence, Judge Suzanne Goddard said that drugs for rape were “unfortunately available for free.”
GHB is used recreationally to produce feelings of euphoria, but an overdose can lead to loss of consciousness, coma and death.
Responding to the case, Ms. Patel said: “ I am deeply concerned about the use of illegal drugs such as GHB to perpetrate these crimes and I have asked the independent Advisory Council on Drug Abuse (ACMD) to expedite a review to see if our the controls for these medications are hard enough. “
GHB is a Class C drug with possession that leads to up to two years in prison, an unlimited fine or both.
Selling it carries a penalty of up to 14 years.
One option that the ACMD might decide to recommend is to transfer GHB to Class B, so that the possession carries a five-year sentence.
Five years have passed since serial killer Stephen Port used GHB and other drugs to knock out victims before raping them. He murdered four men in his apartment in Barking, East London.
He said he ‘fainted’ after drinking the clear liquid and remembered nothing until he woke up hours later, early on the morning of June 2, 2017.
The victim, a 6-foot and 13-foot rugby player, acknowledged that he was physically stronger than the Sinaga, 5 feet 7 feet, slightly built.
However, he felt “weak,” possibly because of the side effects of the drug for the date violation believed to be put in his drink.
Sinaga bit him “a couple of times” and “withdrew” while trying to leave the floor. The fight left the rapist unconscious.
The victim grabbed her possessions and fled, but had to return to the apartment for help because her mobile phone was without a battery.
A resident of another department let him in, cleaned it and allowed him to call the police and his mother.
The teenager hit Sinaga so much that he decided to call 999 to request an ambulance. The schoolboy was arrested on suspicion of causing serious bodily harm because the rapist needed hospital treatment for alleged brain hemorrhage.
But detectives began to suspect when Sinaga began to behave strangely in the hospital and refused to unlock her phone.
His victim had discovered the white iPhone 4 in his jeans, possibly put by Sinaga in panic. ‘I have no idea how he got there, so that’s the only explanation there could have been. I did not put it there. Synaga must have put it in my pocket, “said the victim.
The mistake was the ruin of the sexual attacker, since the contents of the phone revealed the shocking truth about his vile activities.
Police found videos of three rapes and an attempted rape against the teenager when he was unconscious, as well as images of attacks on a large number of other men. A black iPhone and other electronic devices on the floor of Sinaga produced images of new crimes. Iain Simkin, prosecuting, said: ‘Reynhard Sinaga attacked, isolated, drugged and sexually assaulted each of these complainants while they were unconscious.
“Besides, he recorded himself doing it, and if he hadn’t, nobody could have discovered it.”
When he became friends with the young people he pointed to, Sinaga was friendly and kind.
But the videos showed that every time his stunned victims stirred, he pushed them to the floor to continue the assaults.
Police have linked Reynhard Sinaga with more than 190 potential victims in total, 70 of whom have not yet been able to identify
He would even turn off the light or cover the men with a comforter when he was done.
Most of the victims woke up feeling “sick and disoriented,” but had no idea that they had been raped.
Sinaga explained the fact that some victims woke up naked or partially naked saying that their clothes were covered in vomit and that they had taken them off so they would feel more comfortable.
Most of his victims separated in friendly terms with him. But on one occasion Sinaga became “aggressive and threatening” with a man who had raped four times.
He warned that he would ‘give him leather’ or bite him if he didn’t leave.
He tried to force another 18-year-old boy, victmi, to give him cash, taking him to an ATM, but there was no money in his account. Some men even felt guilty for being upset [Sinaga] – a stranger to them – for a flat to sleep at night, “Judge Suzanne Goddard said.
One victim said: ‘As far as I was concerned, I thought I had made a good turn. I agreed to be his friend on Facebook and I think I sent him a message when I got home. “
But some victims had suspicions about their encounter.
In addition to the first teenager who woke up completely, another man appeared while attacking him but “could not move his arms.”
He did not report the incident at that time and the police realized what happened only because of the phone images filmed by Sinaga.
On one occasion, two years before the rapist was caught, police attended his apartment block after a victim who had been reported missing by his girlfriend woke up to be there.
The man did not believe anything unfortunate had happened and there was no reason to search the apartment or ask questions of Sinaga, they told Manchester Crown Court.
Police were able to track down the victims of Sinaga because they had taken screenshots of their social media pages and had kept personal items such as driver’s licenses, bank cards and even a phone like “trophies.”
Synaga did not use a condom and the victims faced additional medical testing before they were assured that they had not contracted any infection.
How many more did he violate? PhD student at the Manchester church who became the most prolific sex attacker in the world after assaulting 195 men ‘could have had more victims’
By Richard Marsden for the Daily Mail
A doctoral student who went to church was unmasked yesterday as the worst serial rapist in the world.
Reynhard Sinaga, 36, took advantage of at least 195 young men and the police admit that the true figure may be higher. Jailed for 30 years, a judge called him a “monster.”
Sinaga incapacitated the victims with the drug of violation of date GHB before filming their attacks. Last night, Interior Secretary Priti Patel ordered a review on whether stricter controls for Class C drugs are needed, widely used recreationally among the gay community.
Sinaga, which primarily attacked heterosexual students in Manchester, was convicted of 159 attacks, including 136 rapes, eight rape attempts and 15 indecent assaults against 48 victims. Four trials were carried out for 18 months.
Sinaga (left) said that the men agreed to be recorded playing a sex game in which they pretended to be dead to fulfill their fantasies in their apartment (right, where blood was visible at the door)
Images of him were found assaulting 195 different men, 70 of whom have not been tracked.
“It would surely be the most prolific sex offender who has gone through British courts and possibly any court in the world,” said Ian Rushton, deputy chief prosecutor of the northwest crown.
It is believed that the videos of the attacks on which Sinaga was accused date from 2015 to 2017 and that Sinaga arrived in Britain in 2007. A source said: “What he did in the intervening years is unknown and there may be many more victims. “
While the authorities faced questions about how Sinaga could get away with it for so long:
- The University of Manchester and the police established help lines;
- Detectives called for other victims to introduce themselves;
- It was learned that two men attacked by Sinaga attempted suicide;
- Jurors were offered advice after having to watch videos of Sinaga violations.
The shocking case can finally be reported after the lifting of judicial report restrictions. Synaga, of Indonesian origin, was already serving a minimum of 20 years after being convicted in the trials in July 2018 and May 2019. The trials in October and December saw new sentences.
He was posing as a “good Samaritan” for men who had separated from their friends at night in downtown Manchester. The slightly stocky sexual attacker, who described himself in court as an effeminate gay man, engaged in a conversation and invited them to his nearby apartment.

His victims were between 18 and 36, but the average age was 21, they told Manchester Crown Court.
Most were students and some were still in school, including the sixth ex whose escape from his vile clutches led to Sinaga being arrested.
In sentencing, Judge Suzanne Goddard QC said that Sinaga was a dangerous criminal who had committed evil crimes.
Chronology of the sexual assaults of Reynhard Sinaga
January 2015 to May 2017: The period during which Reynhard Sinaga was said to have committed sexual assaults against 48 men in Manchester
June 1 to July 10, 2018: Sinaga goes to his first trial that sees him convicted of 31 counts of rape, three counts of attempted rape and six counts of sexual assault.
April 1 to May 7, 2019 9: Sinaga goes to trial a second time and is convicted of 49 rape charges, five rape charges and one sexual assault charge. He is imprisoned for 20 years after the first two trials.
September 16 to October 4, 2019: Sinaga goes to his third trial and is found guilty of 26 counts of rape, one count of assault for penetration and five counts of sexual assault.
December 2, 2019 and December 20, 2019: Sinaga goes to his fourth trial and is convicted of 30 counts of rape and two counts of sexual assault.
Today: Sinaga is imprisoned for at least 30 years during the third and fourth trial. In total, he was convicted in the four trials of 159 crimes: 136 rapes, eight attempted rapes, 14 sexual assaults and one for penetration.
He added: “I do not know of any other case of sexual crime on this scale and magnitude. This was a rape campaign that, in my opinion, justifies the highest of sentences.
‘One of your victims described you as a monster. The scale and enormity of his crime establish that it is an accurate description. “She called Sinaga a” highly dangerous, cunning and deceitful person who will never be sure to release, “and also said she could have killed or seriously injured her victims by nailing their drinks.
He said he would have imposed a lifelong term, first in the UK for a case that does not involve murder, but for the fact that Sinaga did not torture his victims.
The Crown Prosecutor Service said the investigation was the biggest rape case he has handled.
Mr. Rushton said: ‘His extreme sense of sexual law almost defies belief and, no doubt, would still be increasing his amazing count if he had not been caught. He used the victims as objects solely for his own satisfaction. “
Sinaga, who arrived in Manchester as a student financed by his rich Indonesian family, boasted to his friends of using “black magic potion” and “secret poison” to have sex with heterosexual men.
He denied all crimes, claiming that his victims had agreed to die during sex in a fantasy of 50 shades of Gray.
Sinaga had two degrees from the University of Manchester and was pursuing a doctorate in geography at the University of Leeds at the time of his arrest in June 2017. Although he grew up as a Catholic, he attended a liberal Anglican church near his department.
The court heard that the victims of Sinaga had suffered “deep and lasting psychological damage.” Two of the men attempted suicide, while others told how the trauma of what happened had ruined their lives and forced them to drink alcohol.
Nazir Afzal, former chief prosecutor of the Northwest crown, said police agencies were being “too reactive.”
He added: ‘They wait for the brave victims to introduce themselves. They do not look for patterns, do not join the points or assume the worst.
“It is better that we presume that predators exist in all environments and go looking for them.”
The Great Police of Manchester urged other possible victims of Sinaga or anyone who requires support to present themselves.
