With a new date concerts by Kany García at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico | shows

The wave of postponements predicted by the president of the Association of Producers of Public Shows of Puerto Rico (COPEP), Roberto Sueiro, continues.

Singer-songwriter Kany García, who was due to perform on January 28 and 29 at the Puerto Rico Coliseum, postponed her concerts for March 25 and 26 of this year.

While the urban performer Myke Towers, who had shows on the agenda from January 20 to 22 at the Choliseo, will now do so from September 16 to 18.

This, given the uptick in covid-19 cases on the island, as well as the recommendation made yesterday by the Secretary of Health of Puerto Rico, Carlos Mellado, that “everything that can be postponed, is postponed,” in reference to Massive events.

The delay in the reunion with his public has caused the frustration of Kany, who reaffirmed the decision based “on the well-being of all”.

“You don’t know how much I want to be with you, you really have no idea how frustrated I am,” Garcia admitted in a post on his social networks.

Governor Pedro Pierluisi yesterday signed a new executive order that establishes that massive activities in theaters, amphitheaters, stadiums, coliseums and convention centers in closed mode must reduce the capacity to 50%. Meanwhile, the centers that operate outdoors must reduce their capacity to 75%.

On the other hand, the new order, which will be in force until February 2, establishes that people who attend a massive event must have the reinforcement of the covid-19 vaccine or show a negative test no more than 48 hours before. of the event. The previous guideline required only proof.
