The red kitchen beetle lives up to 200 days. One week after mating, the brown egg packs (s) appear. An ootheca has an average of 36 eggs and is carried by the female for about four weeks on the back of the body. The females expel the eggs shortly before the larvae hatch, near a water source. The larvae hatch immediately after the expulsion of the oothecae and within 2-3 months they reach sexual maturity. This is why kitchen beetles can multiply very easily.
Kitchen beetles can be a real danger to the health of the whole family, as they are carriers of bacteria that can cause various diseases. Therefore, it is a good idea to take action and resolve the issue as soon as possible.
