Why Dumfries still believes in PSV title: ‘Tax also plays a role’

The conclusion after the tough month of January is that PSV has lost eight points in six premier division matches and the deficit of the Eindhoven team on top of the list leader Ajax is no less than seven points. And that while the selection beforehand was considered to be able to displace the Amsterdammers from the first place mainly on the basis of fitness.

“AZ at home was not enough and neither”, captain Denzel Dumfries is disappointed on Sunday after the defeat against Feyenoord. In the game with Ajax, a 2-0 lead eventually led to a draw.

“It’s been a tough season,” Dumfries emphasizes once again. And that is precisely what he now clings to, because of course that also applies to Ajax with the many duels that follow each other in a short period of time.

‘Not decided yet’

“End of the title race? No, I don’t want to say that”, the right back says with conviction, knowing that the rival from Amsterdam is also awaiting a number of tough matches in February. “The tax also plays a role. It is far from being decided.”
