The VivaTech 2025 Innovation of the Year Award has revealed its top 30 startups, showcasing a diverse range of groundbreaking ideas. These companies were selected based on their innovation, creativity, market disruption potential, and scalability.

From hundreds of applicants, the top 30 represent the moast visionary startups exhibiting at VivaTech. The finalists span various sectors, including health, energy, information technologies, and more. The final five will pitch live at VivaTech on June 11, with the winner announced at the VivaTech Global Awards Ceremony on June 12.

The winner will receive a coveted package including a pitch slot at the awards ceremony, a free Startup Corner at VivaTech 2026, and a spot in the TechCrunch Startup Battlefield 200. The award celebrates startups that demonstrate exceptional vision and the ability to turn ideas into tangible realities.

This year’s applicants impressed judges with innovations ranging from AI-powered assistance for the visually impaired to advanced computing solutions and sustainable waste management technologies. Examples included self-driving glasses, photonic chips, and methods for converting mining waste into carbon sinks.

These teams aren’t just solving problems – they’re building the future from the ground up.

Other notable innovations included microrobot swarms for space exploration, AI systems that interpret brain activity to control devices, and bioelectronic implants designed to combat brain cancer.These startups are advancing science and engineering, particularly in sustainability, human-machine interfaces, diagnostics, and accessible healthcare.

The selection process highlighted the boldness and ambition of the startups, which are focused on creating transformative solutions. Choosing the final winner will be a challenge, as each of the top 30 has already achieved meaningful recognition.
