Dutch actor Victor Reinier will not return to the political drama series Flikken Maastricht for the upcoming season. This decision was confirmed by the producer, Hollands Licht, following a statement from RTL Boulevard.
Hollands Licht received complaints regarding the working environment on set and the behavior of the 61-year-old Reinier. After investigations and discussions involving the complainants and Reinier, it was mutually agreed to not renew his role in the series, with the approval of AVROTROS.
The producer highlighted that the demands of filming Flikken Maastricht had increasingly become burdensome for Reinier, which had significantly affected the set’s working atmosphere. Despite this, Reinier has been a crucial part of the show as both a lead actor and director for nearly two decades.
Casting for the 20th season is set to commence.
