Extraordinary Measures for Universal Health Coverage access
With the approval of President Alassane Ouattara, the government is implementing a special provision allowing individuals in the informal sector, already enrolled in the CMU, to access healthcare services without immediate contribution. This initiative, effective from May 2nd to August 31st, 2025, aims to provide immediate relief and access to essential medical care.
Impact and Scope of the Initiative
the Prime Minister estimates that approximately 13 million insured individuals, primarily those in the informal sector, will benefit from this initiative.
