(UNWEBI A weekend full of music with UmbriaEnsemble. Sacred and profane music, inspired by nature and the arts, classical and contemporary: a true festival of music that unfolds for three days in three different events. It begins Thursday 23 June, at 21, in Castiglione del Lago, a historic Umbrian village that dominates the waters of Trasimeno from the top of its promontory. Here, in the Palazzo Ducale dei della Corgna, which shone between the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries for the cultural vivacity of the court, refined patron of all arts, UmbriaEnsemble (Ketty Teriaca, piano; Luca Ranieri, viola; M. Cecilia Berioli, cello) will present “Amarcord”, a concert where musical art dialogues happily with cinematographic art, with music written by Nino Rota – who with Federico Fellini he formed an exemplary creative tandem – Nicola Piovani and Ennio Morricone.

The next day, Friday 24 June, starting from 16.30, in Perugia in the Chapel of the Santa Maria ella Misericordia Hospital, UmbriaEnsemble – always in the formation of a Trio with piano – will celebrate the figure of the Venerable Servant of God Vittorio Trancanelli, on the occasion of the 24 Anniversary of his earthly death, with the “Concerto per Vittorio”, in the presence, among others, of HE Cardinal Gualtiero Bassetti. An occasion of spiritual elevation organized by the Archdiocese of Perugia-Città della Pieve with the music of Mons. Marco Frisina, Gian-Carlo Menotti and Giulio Caccini.

A completely different music – in every sense – in the Concert that UmbriaEnsemble (Mario Ancillotti, flute; Luca Ranieri, viola; M. Cecilia Berioli, cello; Augusta Giraldi, harp) will hold Saturday 25 June, 9.30 pm, in Rome, in the gardens of Officers Club of the Armed Forces of Italy. “Water Games” inspired by the refined scenery of the Concert, just behind the Quirinal Palace, and by the many suggestions that link the Roman fountains and nature to Music. Pieces by Debussy, Saint-Saens, Schubert and Carbajo to greet in Musica the arrival of summer and the festival of light, therefore of hope and life.
