Media: «No Zelensky in US plan»
The Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky, is not interested in discussing the US plan on Ukraine and for this reason he preferred not to meet the special representative of the President of the United States, Steve Witkoff, today in Ankara. According to Axios, Witkoff was scheduled to meet Zelensky and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan today in Ankara. The meeting was reportedly postponed when it became clear that Zelensky is not interested in discussing the US plan. Zelensky instead went to Ankara with another plan, drawn up with European partners, that Russia would never accept, a US official added. According to media reports, the new 28-point US “peace plan” to end the war in Ukraine includes, among other things, the transfer of the entire Donbass to Russia, the reduction of the Ukrainian army by half and the recognition of Russian as the state language. According to the Axios portal, the plan was developed in particular by US ambassador Stephen Witkoff and the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund Kirill Dmitriev.
