Ukraine’s Security Service (SBU) has claimed responsibility for the recent attack on the Crimean Bridge, a crucial link between Russia and the annexed Crimean Peninsula. the SBU stated that 1,100 kilograms of explosives were detonated on an underwater pillar of the bridge.

In a statement released on Telegram, the SBU detailed that the explosives were detonated early Tuesday morning, causing damage to the underwater supports of the structure. The bridge serves as a vital supply route for Russian forces operating in Ukraine. Russian authorities have temporarily suspended traffic on the bridge following the incident.

“The bridge is indeed dilapidated,” the SBU stated, noting that this marks the third time the strategically important bridge has been targeted. The agency added that the operation had been meticulously planned over several months.

Separately, Ukrainian sources reported a successful strike against Russian military aircraft over the weekend, dubbed “Aktion Spinnsnetz.” According to thes reports, Tupolew TU-95 and TU-22 bombers, as well as a Berijew A-50 early warning aircraft, were destroyed.Unconfirmed reports suggest that the ukrainian secret service deployed combat drones launched from concealed locations within wooden structures mounted on trucks. “At the right time, the roofs were opened remotely and the drones flew to attack Russian bombers,” the report stated.

The Ukrainian Air Force reported that Russian combat drones targeted the regions of Tschernihiw, Charkiw, Sumy, Odessa, and Donetsk overnight. An aerial alert was issued throughout Ukraine on Tuesday morning, with concerns of a potential attack on Kyiv using the Kinzhal hypersonic missile. A strike was reported near the city of Mykolajiw in the south,even though details regarding the extent of the damage remain unclear.
