State Police Commissioner Isaac Akinmoyede said the Osuji brothers lost their parents in 2009 and were taken away by their grandfather, Chief Chukwuma Osuji, who is believed to be the traditional prime minister of his village , Emekuku, in the local government region of Owerri, northern state.

The state commissioner revealed that on June 10, 2020, at 6:30 p.m., the distraught grandfather visited the anti-kidnapping squad in the state where he reported that one of his grandsons, Confidence Osuji , had been abducted from Ezedibia Emekuku in the local government area of ​​Owerri North, Imo State. With the exception of their gang leader, Nelson Dike, all the other gang members were arrested, in addition to Fortunate and her younger brother, Praise. The kidnappers started calling me on my phone and asking for 7 million naira. They threatened that if I refused to pay the ransom, they would use the victim for the ritual, ”said the grandfather.

“I quickly went and dropped 1 million naira without the consent of the police. I deposited the money in their camp in Upe in the Ngor-Okpala local government area of ​​Imo State. I was surprised that immediately I paid the money, that night my grandson was released. I was happy. But suddenly the police came and arrested the three children ”, he indicated.

“I didn’t understand until they were taken into custody and Fortunate confessed that he had arranged the kidnapping with Praise.
