“Oktoberfest 1900” (Das Erste) tells of the bitter struggle between two brewery clans. The ZDF takes stock of Donald Trump in “The Underestimated President”. In “16 Blocks” (kabel eins), Bruce Willis goes on a life-threatening trip.
8:15 p.m., Das Erste, Oktoberfest 1900, history series
The Nuremberg brewer and restaurateur Curt Prank (Misel Maticevic) plans to steal five stall spaces at the Oktoberfest with the help of the handyman Glogauer (Martin Feifel) and the Munich city councilor Alfons Urban (Michael Kranz). He wants to build a “beer castle” for 6,000 guests – 20 times the size of the usual beer stalls at the Oktoberfest. And that as a foreigner! An affront to the Munich brewers’ guild. Only one person refuses to sell his stall: Ignatz Hoflinger (Francis Fulton-Smith), owner of the small, traditional Deibel brewery.

Policeman Jack Mosley (Bruce Willis) just wants to go home and have a drink. At 8:02 a.m., however, he gets a seemingly simple assignment: The petty criminal Eddie Bunker (Mos Def) is supposed to testify to an investigative committee at 10 a.m. and has to be brought from his cell to the courthouse. It would be done in 15 minutes, but suddenly everything goes wrong. A life-threatening trip begins for Mosley and Bunker.

A naked body is found in a hotel. Office manager Zangel (Christoph Süß) suspects a sex accident, but Angelika Flierl (Bernadette Heerwagen), Harald Neuhauser (Marcus Mittermeier) and Ludwig Schaller (Alexander Held) are certain: it was murder. The first investigations lead to Marco Albertini (Felix Hellmann) and Konrad Saxinger (Hannes Wegener), the best friends of the victim Andy Geissler. Their lofty career dreams have burst, meanwhile they have to fight for their existence more than they would like.
