US President Donald Trump has granted a third extension for the sale of US business rights for Tic Talk, the Chinese-based video platform.

President Trump announced on Tuesday via his social network service (SNS) Truso Social: “I just signed an administrative order to extend Tick Talk deadline on the 90th (until September 17,2025).”

In April of the previous year, during the Joe Biden governance, the US Federal Congress approved the Tic Talk Ban Act. This act stipulates that byte dance, the parent company in China, cannot operate in the United States unless it divests Tic Talk’s US business.

The initial deadline for the sale was January 19 of this year. Even though the tic Talk service was briefly suspended on that day due to the lack of a sale by byte dance, it was reinstated when President Trump, upon assuming office the following day, extended the deadline by 75 days.

President Trump extended the sale again on April 4th, marking the third extension since his inauguration.

According to the NBC, President Trump stated, “We believe that Chinese President Xi Jinping will adapt to the TickTalk sales contract.”

“I just signed an administrative order to extend Tick Talk deadline on the 90th (until September 17, 2025).”

Tic Talk boasts a ample user base, with 170 million users in the United States alone.During the initial extension period, US companies like Amazon expressed interest in acquiring tic Talk, but the deal ultimately fell through due to escalating tariff tensions with China.
