‘The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins’ Is the Funniest Series of the Year

The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins has been announced for a second season, confirming the series will continue beyond its debut year. The return was reported on November 2, 2026 by several outlets, establishing that new episodes are slated for the upcoming television schedule. This concrete change marks the show's shift from a single‑season run to an ongoing franchise.

The renewal follows a wave of praise that positions the series as the year's funniest comedy. IndieWire and Esquire both described it as the funniest series of the year, while A.V. Club noted that “nothing has changed” in its comedic tone, suggesting the formula remains a draw. Celeb Secrets highlighted Jalyn Hall’s tease of Carmelo’s “rebellious” side for season 2, and Yahoo relayed Erika Alexander's comment that co‑stars Monica and Brina are working to make the title character look good. Such enthusiastic commentary appears to have driven confidence in extending the show.

Outlets differ on what the series’ continuity signifies; A.V. Club stresses unchanged tone, while IndieWire highlights its comedic peak, leaving the impact on audience growth unclear. No ratings, viewership numbers or exact premiere date have been disclosed, and future seasons beyond the announced second installment remain unconfirmed.
