Texans fans are likely to feel a sense of relief and excitement as their team's season appears to be turning around. The turnaround is attributed to the exceptional performance of quarterback C.J. Stroud's play has been so impressive that it's leading some to speculate that he may be due for a significant contract extension.

According to some outlets, this could potentially make him one of the highest-paid quarterbacks in the league, surpassing Baker Mayfield's yearly salary of $55m. The Texans are likely to be faced with the decision of whether to give Stroud a new contract. Some are suggesting that they should give him 'whatever he wants'.

The question of whether Stroud's performance warrants such a significant contract extension is a complex one. Stroud's performance, as well as that of his teammates Jaxon Smith-Njigba and Carnell Tate, has been well-documented.
