‘Unresponsive’ Hayden Panettiere received welfare check after sparking ‘concern’ 1 week before death: report

Fans and observers are grappling with a new wave of unease following the actress’s death, as reports reveal that police performed a welfare check at her Los Angeles home just days before she died. The timing of the intervention has amplified public worry and prompted calls for clearer information about her condition in the final week of her life in the media.

The welfare check stemmed from a 911 call that described Panettiere as ‘unresponsive’ and raised alarms about possible illness. Police arrived, assessed the situation, and documented the encounter. TMZ and Page Six first disclosed the incident, while Entertainment Weekly, Yahoo and Us Weekly later echoed the same details, confirming that the check occurred roughly one week prior to her death on October 1, 2026.

Across the five outlets, the consistent narrative points to a single emergency response without indicating any further investigation outcomes. No additional facts about the cause of death have been released, leaving the precise circumstances of the tragedy unclear. Observers will be watching for any official statements that might clarify the events surrounding the welfare check and her subsequent passing.
