Within hours, outlets from TV Insider to The Hollywood Reporter published pieces dissecting the ending, turning the show’s conclusion into the week’s top entertainment story. The finale positioned the mysterious “Trawler” as the season’s murderer, a detail confirmed by CNET and People.com. The Hollywood Reporter quotes star Kaia Gerber describing her reaction as a “Shelley Duvall moment,” underscoring the shock value of the reveal.

Co‑star Igby Rigney, noted by Entertainment Weekly, called the twist a “big bomb” and suggested an “insane” direction for future plots. As the buzz persists, the next episode of speculation will hinge on any forthcoming announcements from Ryan Murphy’s production team.
