The Arizona Diamondbacks are set to boost their rotation when left‑hander Corbin Burnes is activated on Tuesday, a move that could tighten the series against the Kansas City Royals and give Arizona a playoff‑relevant edge. Burnes’ return also removes a lingering uncertainty from the staff’s bullpen planning, while the Royals will face a fresh ace after the Diamondbacks’ recent roster moves.

MLB.com reported that Burnes cleared a key rehab hurdle, confirming his health status ahead of the activation. The team’s rotation now includes a proven ace, while the Royals must prepare for his presence.

The next scheduled appearance will determine how quickly Arizona can translate the rehab success into on‑field results.
