This price cut comes just as Apple has announced an upcoming new feature for the device. The price drop is evident across multiple retailers. Mashable, XDA, and Syracuse.com all note the reduced price at various retailers.

MacRumors and 9to5Mac both mention the new low price of $79.99 for a 4-pack on Amazon. The timing of the price drop, coinciding with the announcement of a new feature, raises questions about Apple's strategy. Is this a move to boost sales ahead of the feature's release?
