Xbox's Free Play Days has added three new games to its free-to-play lineup for the weekend of August 22-23. The games available are Train Sim World 6, Icarus: Console Edition, and Lynked: Banner of the Spark. The inclusion of these titles is part of Xbox's ongoing strategy to attract and retain subscribers to its Xbox Game Pass service.

Neowin and Pure Xbox have also covered the event, focusing on the opportunity for gamers to try out new titles without financial commitment. The reception of the selected games has been mixed. While Train Sim World 6 and Lynked: Banner of the Spark have received positive reviews, Icarus: Console Edition has been described as underrated by GAMINGbible.

However, the game's reception has been more divisive among players. The exact reasons for the mixed reviews are not specified in the coverage. It is unclear how the selection process for these free games is determined, or whether Xbox plans to continue this trend of offering a mix of popular and lesser-known titles.
