The return of Scott Foley as the character Sean Kelly marks a significant addition to the upcoming second season of the Scrubs revival on ABC. This development follows news regarding Foley’s previous television projects, including his recent role in Will Trent.

Deadline and ScreenRant coverage centers on the nostalgia surrounding this character’s return, framing the inclusion as a major draw for the revival's new season. Questions regarding the scope of Foley’s involvement in the season remain, as specific episode counts or the duration of his character's return have not been detailed.

While the trailer provides a first look at the revival, the extent to which the plot will rely on recurring guest appearances versus original cast dynamics remains thin. Future updates will likely clarify if other classic characters are slated to appear as the season premiere date approaches.
