Over 6 million children are to benefit from PLN 500 for holidays in the country. Support will be granted in the form of a voucher and will be granted for each child who receives 500+ or whose parent works abroad. It is enough for the parent to activate the voucher by entering the mobile phone number and e-mail address on the ZUS Electronic Services Platform.

Except there are hooks in the act. And, for example, a Pole working in a European Union country and collecting child benefits from there will not get a vacation check from the state if he has not applied to the Polish office for 500+! There are more pitfalls!

Check if you get a vacation voucher

If you are charging 500+ on kids

You will get a tourist voucher, i.e. PLN 500 for each child. You will only need to activate the voucher at PUE ZUS. It will be possible from midnight on July 31 to August 1.

You work abroad and your children live in Poland

If you receive foreign benefits, but you have not applied for the Polish 500+ supplement, you will not get a voucher. Therefore, if you are in this situation, apply for childcare benefit as soon as possible at the commune office where your children live. Even if your application is not processed, you will still be entitled to the voucher.

You have a disabled child

If the 500+ benefit is paid for a child, you will also get a voucher, but be careful, double the amount. When registering at PUE, you will need to attach a special statement in which you must indicate what kind of judgment the child has. A photograph of this decision will have to be attached to the statement. On this basis, you will get PLN 1000 for a child’s holiday.

You’re divorced

You can apply for a voucher if you are looking after the child. If the court has decided on alternate custody, the other parent should also apply for the voucher – each of you will receive PLN 250, i.e. PLN 500 per child.

You’re expecting a baby

You will not get a voucher for now. However, when the child is born and you apply for the 500+ benefit, then you can also register for PUE and you will also get a tourist voucher. Importantly, such registration will be possible until December 31, 2021. Both parents who will apply for the voucher now and those who are just expecting a child will be able to cash the check until March 31, 2022.

Your child turns 18 this year

If they reach the age of majority after July 18, then the child will also be entitled to a travel voucher.

What can you pay for with a voucher?
