Euseglimar González | THE PRESS OF LARA.- A foul smell it feels as soon as people get to the morgue from the Antonio María Pineda Central Hospital. The lack of cavas to keep the corpses has wreaked havoc and is that, presumably, they have given decomposed bodies to their relatives for them to say goodbye, according to sources in the pathological area.
“On Wednesday they delivered two bodies with worms. They were two men who were killed by security officials, here the cellars do not serve to maintain the bodies and that is why they begin the decomposition process,” said a man who lives in the Hospital morgue. Central.
Yesterday morning the mourners who were around the pathological area they complained about the strong smell. The morgue workers removed several bodies that were not identified or removed by their relatives, and transferred them to the mass graves of the Municipal cemetery.
“The fear we have is that my aunt’s body is going to be putrefied because we have not been able to get the urn and they tell us that there is nothing there to cool the bodies,” said Mariángel Saavedra, a relative of a deceased who was in the pathology room.
THE PRESS He learned that another problem that accelerates the process of decomposing the bodies is that, presumably, there is a new order for workers of the morgue and funeral parlors which establishes that the delivery of bodies is until 2:00 pm, after that time the doors are closed.
During the morning of yesterday, the relatives were withdrawn from the morgue and only approached if they were called by the employees. They made sure that there were worms on the entrance floor.
