As part of the Special Education Week, students from Special School No. 29 in Puerto Libertad exhibited their work in the Carlos Kovalski square. It is about the exhibition and sale of the crafts made by the little ones, in wood, fabric, cardboard and plastic. Parents also supported the day with a food stand.
The educational establishment was created in the month of May of the year 2003, being its first director the teacher Laura Soria Vieta; Professor Mirta Yusek currently holds the position; It has 45 students who attend in two shifts; 9 teachers, including a physical education teacher; kinesiologist and psychopedagogue.
In addition, the institution has a large and modern building, to which must be added a Sprinter unit that is responsible for transporting students. “We are working intensely on this new normal, as they say, post-pandemic. We have an orientation team to collaborate with the teachers of the common schools of the locality, in inclusion”.
“It is a long way to go, a challenge, something new that we are entering; several of our students attend regular schools and vice versa. At the end of this month of October, we are going to have a training workshop for all the schools in the municipality, both Initial, Primary and Secondary Level”, Yusek completed.
